The festival includes dance bands each night in a block-long Wursthalle, a "sausage dog" show, German band concerts, one of the world's largest collections of beer bottles, singing groups, and home-made German food. The 10th annual Sausage Festival, a Texas version of the Munich Oktoberfest, will begin Friday and continue through Sunday, November 8 in New Braunfels. For the younger set, Schlitterbahn's Polywog Pond (pictured) is a water fantasy land, complete with spraying mushrooms and padded slides disguised as frogs and turtles. (Right) Shilitterbahn Water Park offers something for everyone - from water slides and tube chutes, to a new wave pool, swimming pools, hot tubs, river paddleboats and miniature golf. Tubers can ride about a mile of interconnecting waterways, ranging from the relaxing to the hair-raising. With the opening of a new section this season, Schlitterbahn's Cliffhanger (pictured left) becomes the longest tube chute ride in the world. Texas tubers enjoy the man-made thrills at Schlitterbahn Water Park, located in New Braunfels, Texas, in the heart of tubing country. Floren is returning again as the featured entertainer for Wurstfest.

Myron Floren on the Lawrence Welk TV Show joins in the fun during Wurstfest in New Braunfels, Texas. Wurstfest fan, performer, and participant. Myron Floren, right, will again be a featured guest at the New Braunfels Wurstfest. Texas is not alone in its German fall festival Milwaukee, Wisconsin also holds one, known as the Oktoberfest. Myron Floren from the Lawrence Welk television show joins in the revelry at the Wurstfest celebration in New Braunfels, where he will be featured entertainer again this year (his 17th).
